Nasir ibn Murschid ( Arabic ناصر بن مرشد, DMG Nāṣir bin Muršid ; † 1649 ) was Imam of Oman from 1624 to 1649.

With Nasir ibn Murschid, an imam (see: Ibaditen ) was elected in Oman in 1624 after a long time . This managed to unite the tribes in the fight against the Portuguese , who had occupied the coastal cities in the 16th century and controlled the trade in the Gulf region. He conquered Sur from the Portuguese and forced the evacuation of Suhar . In return for tribute payments, they were able to provisionally maintain their possession of Muscat and Matrah. Under Nasir ibn Murschid the residence of the imams was moved from Nizwa to Rustaq . The reputation and prestige of Nasir ibn Murschid were so great that after his death his cousin Sultan ibn Saif I (1649–1668) was elected as the new imam. Thus, the dynastic principle prevailed in Oman for the first time, whereby Nasir ibn Murschid became the founder of the Yaruba dynasty .
