Nassau Bay is a city in Harris County in the US state of Texas in the United States .
geography
The city is located in southeast Texas, about 35 km southeast of Houston and 7 km west of Galveston Bay on Clear Lake . It is about 40 km to the southeast from the Gulf of Mexico and has a total area of 4.4 km², of which 1.0 km² is water.

According to the 2000 census, 4,170 people in 2,049 households and 1,213 families lived here. The population density was 1,210.6 inhabitants per km². The racial the population was composed of 89.64% White, 1.87% African American, 0.50% Native American, 3.91% Asian, 0.17% Pacific Islander, and 1.68% other ethnic groups. About 2.23% were mixed race and 6.28% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
Of the 2,049 households, 17.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them. 49.5% of these were married couples living together. 7.0% were single mothers and 40.8% were non-families. 35.0% of all households were single households and there were people living in 9.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.04 and the average family size was 2.59.
15.3% of the population were under 18 years old, 6.8% 18 to 24, 25.4% 25 to 44, 34.4% 45 to 64, and 18.1% who were 65 years of age or older . The median age was 47 years. For every 100 females of all age groups, there were 97.3 males. For every 100 women aged 18 and over there were 97.3 men.
The median income for a household in the county is $ 57,353 , and the median income for a family is $ 77,252. Males had a median income of $ 52,295 versus $ 38,819 for females. The per capita income was $ 39,113. 4.5% of the population and 3.0% of families are below the poverty line. 6.3% of these were children and adolescents under 18 years of age and 4.8% were 65 or older.
