Nesbitt is a city in Harrison County in the US state of Texas in the United States .
geography
The city is located in northeast Texas, about 38 km to the east from Louisiana , 64 km to the northeast from Arkansas , 115 km to the north from Oklahoma and has a total area of 4.5 km² without any significant water surface.
history
The place was probably named after the Nesbitt family, who settled here as early as 1850.
Demographic data
According to the 2000 census, 302 people in 115 households and 83 families lived here. The population density was 66.6 inhabitants per km ². The racial the population was composed of 80.46% White, 18.21% African American, 0.99% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, and 0.00% other ethnic groups.
