Wet triangle
The so-called " Nasse Dreieck " near Hörstel -Bergeshövede in the Tecklenburger Land region is not a triangular area , but rather, analogous to a motorway triangle , denotes the waterway triangle , where the Mittelland Canal (MLK) at km 108.35 of the Dortmund-Ems Canal (DEK ) branches off, and through the so-called Gravenhorster gorge between the Huckberg and the Bergeshöveder Berg crosses the northwestern foothills of the Teutoburg Forest to turn east behind Uffeln . The junction of the MLK is followed by a lock on the DEK .
The Wet Triangle is an important hub for inland shipping .
