The Bergeshöveder Berg is a mountain in the Teutoburg Forest . It is located north of the Riesenbeck farming community, Bergeshövede. Its maximum height is 115 m above sea level. NN .
To the west of the Bergeshöveder Berg lies Huckberg, which is separated from the rest of the Teutoburg Forest by the Mittelland Canal and the Gravenhorster Gorge . With the Riesenbecker Berg , Lagerberg and Birgter Berg to the east, the Bergeshöveder Berg forms the Riesenbecker Osning . This part of the Teutoburg Forest is interrupted in the east by the B 219 at Dörenther Berg .
World record flight by Robert Kronfeld
On May 15, 1929, Robert Kronfeld from Vienna took off successfully from Bergeshöveder Berg with his glider pilot "Rhöngeist" for the world's first glider flight over 100 km. His starting point was between the restaurant "Zum alten Fritz", which still exists today, and the canal bridge near the Hermannsweg . A monument erected by the Riesenbeck Heimatverein in 1991 reminds of this flying achievement.
