Natalja Sergejewna Schukowa ( Russian: Наталья Сергеевна Жукова ; born July 19, 1992 in Kazan ) is a Russian cross-country skier .

Career

Schukowa took part in the Eastern-Europe Cup from 2008 to 2013 . At the Junior World Championships 2012 in Erzurum , she won gold over 5 km classic and with the relay. She ran her first World Cup race in February 2013 in Sochi , which she finished with tenth place in the skiathlon and thus won her first World Cup points. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2013 in Val di Fiemme , she reached 33rd place over 10 km freestyle. At the Russian cross-country skiing championships 2013 in Syktywkar she won bronze in the 30 km mass start race. Her best placements at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi were seventh place over 10 km classic and sixth place with the relay. At the Russian cross-country skiing championships in 2014 in Tyumen , she won gold in the skiathlon. In December 2014 she finished 37th at the Nordic Opening in Lillehammer . Her best results at the 2015 Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun were 13th place in the skiathlon and seventh place in the relay. After finishing 42nd at the Nordic Opening in Ruka at the beginning of the 2015/16 season, she made it into the points four times in the World Cup season.
