Natalja Vladimirovna Sorokina ( Russian: Наталья Владимировна Сорокина , née Gussewa ; born September 12, 1982 in Tikhvin ) is a former Russian biathlete .

Natalja Sorokina is a sports soldier and starts for the St. Petersburg Army Club . She is trained by Andrei Goryachev and Ram Sabaluev. She has been practicing biathlon since 1994 and made her debut in a sprint in Pokljuka (45th) in the biathlon world cup in 2004 . Shortly afterwards she was eighth in an individual race in Antholz that same season , making it into the top places for the first time. At the same World Cup station she then won the sprint and thus her first and so far only World Cup race and came second in the mass start race. In the period that followed, Sorokina was rather volatile. Outstanding and bad performances alternated.

At the 2004 World Championships in Oberhof , Sorokina was used on three tracks and achieved a seventh place in the mass start as the best placement. In this discipline she was also used at the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin (24th). At the 2007 World Championships in Antholz, Sorokina won the bronze medal in the 7.5 km sprint.
