Preseli mountains

The Preseli Mountains ( English Preseli Hills or Preseli Mountains ; Welsh Mynydd Preseli / Y Preselau ) are a range of hills in the north of Pembrokeshire in Wales , which form part of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park . The highest point is Foel Cwmcerwyn at 536 meters .

The Neolithic stone circle Meini Gwyr (also Buarth Arthur ; German called Arthur's enclosure ) is located near the A478 road at Glandy Cross. Foel Drygarn is a hillfort on one of the peaks.

Prehistoric finds have been made in the Preseli Mountains. Spotted dolerite from the Preseli Mountains ( Carn Meini Quarry ) was used in the construction of Stonehenge ( Bluestones ).
