Nathan George Doornekamp (born October 9, 1982 in Napanee , Ontario ) is a retired Canadian basketball player . Doornekamp's younger brother, Aaron , also became a professional basketball player. Doornekamp ended his professional career early at the age of 26 and later married Leah Gillingham, the sister of James Gillingham , his former teammate in the national team and at TBB Trier.

The 2.13 m tall center played for Boston College in the USA and moved to the basketball league in Germany in 2005 , where he signed up with TBB Trier for two years. He is also a member of the Canadian national basketball team. For the 2007/08 season Doornekamp moved to the Eisbären Bremerhaven , where he signed a two-year contract.
