The Canada men's national basketball team is the national selection of Canadian basketball players. She is selected by the Canadian Basketball Association, Canada Basketball , and represents Canada in international tournaments. The team has been coached by Toronto Raptors Nick Nurse since 2019 . General Manager is Rowan Barrett .

At the 1936 Olympic Games , the Canadians won silver. In 1980 and 1999 Canada also finished 2nd at the American Championships . 1984, 1988. In 2001 and 2015 Canada won the bronze medal.

In 2015, the Canadian national basketball team achieved their last success so far when they finished second behind Brazil in the Pan American Games .

Canada ranks 2nd in the FIBA junior world rankings behind the USA and is widely regarded as one of the most up-and-coming nations in basketball. Canada has the second most players after the USA with 14 active NBA players and already had two players, Anthony Bennett and Andrew Wiggins , who were voted first in the annual NBA draft .
