The Belizean men's national basketball team represents Belize at international basketball matches. The Belizean federation did not join FIBA until 1973 and the first significant participation of a men's national team in an international tournament was the hosting of a CARICOM championship in 1998 with three other Anglophone Caribbean national teams, which Belize was able to win as hosts. After participating in the Central American Championship in 1999 , they took part in the championships of the Hispanic Central American continental zone of the continental association FIBA America and in 2010 they were able to qualify for the Central American Championship ( ie the championship of Central America ) for the second time . A qualification for a continental or even global finals has not yet succeeded.

The better-known national players of Belize include the former NBA pros Marlon Garnett , Milt Palacio and Noel Felix, all born in Los Angeles , California .
