Despite the best record of all teams in the Big East, the defending champions lost the final game of the 2004 championship tournament against the Huskies of the University of Connecticut . In the subsequent national NCAA finals they lost in the round of 16 "Sweet Sixteen" against the Cowboys of Oklahoma State University . In the following years, they reached the championship final of the Big East twice, which was lost to the Orangemen of Syracuse University in 2006 and the Hoyas of Georgetown University in 2007, as well as always the NCAA finals, in which they were eliminated in the second round at the latest as in 2007. At the last time in the U21 age group held in Argentina in 2005 , the Canadian junior selection , which included Kendall with Aaron Doornekamp , Andy Rautins and Tristan Blackwood, three other basketball Bundesliga professionals, was able to make their only one in the quarter-finals of the highly favored US selection Inflict a tournament defeat. Their squad included the later NBA professionals Rajon Rondo , Rudy Gay , JJ Redick , Marcus Williams and Allan Ray . Kendall was the top scorer of the game with 40 points and twelve rebounds in 42 minutes in the 93:90 extension win. After the semi-final defeat against the Greek selection, Canada won the bronze medal at this tournament against the Australian juniors. Kendall, who was called to the "All-Tournament Team" of the junior finals, then made his debut in the Canadian men's selection at the 2005 American Championships , in which, however, the qualification for the 2006 World Cup finals was missed.

After Kendall had not been selected in the NBA Draft 2007 by clubs of the highest endowed professional league NBA, he finally signed his first professional contract with Panionios from Athens in the Greek A1 Ethniki . In the 2007/08 season, the team was able to confirm the previous year's position in fourth place after the main round and was eliminated in the play-off semi- finals against series champion Panathinaikos Athens . In the play-off series against GS Marousi for third place they also secured participation in the highest European club competition ULEB Euroleague 2008/09 . After finishing fifth at the 2007 American Championships , the Canadian national team had another opportunity to qualify for the Olympic basketball tournament at the pre-Olympic qualification tournament in Athens in 2008 . Here you failed in the quarter-finals against Croatia in the end with a 62: 83 defeat. In the play-offs they remained without a win and were eliminated in the first round against Aris Saloniki . Kendall then moved to league competitor GS Marousi, who this time won the play-off series for third place against Aris and had reached the qualifying round for the ULEB Euroleague 2009/10 . As the main round second you could secure the remaining promotion place in the play-offs and achieve the immediate return to the top division ACB league , in which Kendall played because of his Irish descent with a European player license. As a returnee, the team was able to achieve relegation for the first time in the club's history in the 2011/12 season on the 13th main round place. In the 2012/13 season it was even enough with a positive season balance in eighth place in the table for the first play-off entry in the club's history.
