Nate Lepine

Nate Lepine (born June 3, 1973 in Alaska ) is an American woodwind player ( saxophone , clarinet and flute ) and keyboardist in the field of modern creative and independent rock .

Live and act

Lepine grew up in Connecticut and has lived in Chicago since 1991; There he first played in a blues band before coming into contact with the local jazz scene . Since then he has worked a. a. with various jazz and indie rock bands such as Manishevitz, Head Of Femur, Sister Machine Gun, Califone and Smog (around Bill Callahan ), as well as Toumani Diabaté , Bobby Bare , Pete Yorn , Company of Thieves, The M's, Poi Dog Pondering, Sonoi, Baby Teeth, the NRG Ensemble, Iron & Wine and Cursive. He was a member of the jazz formation Herculaneum ; he also worked with Jason Adasiewicz , Fred Lonberg-Holm and Dylan Ryan. In the field of jazz he was involved in three recording sessions between 2007 and 2011.
