Nathan Davis Brown (born July 7, 1991 in Covington , Tipton County , Tennessee ) is an American road cyclist .

Athletic career

Nathan Brown was runner-up in the 2006 junior class in road racing. In the 2008 season he won the overall classification of the Trophée Center Morbihan , a stage at the Driedaagse van Axel and a stage and the overall classification at the Tour de l'Abitibi . The following year he was successful in part of the Edgar Soto Memorial . He won the prologue and overall classification at the Tour du Pays de Vaud and the Tour Of The Red River Gorge . From 2010 Brown drove for the American Continental Team Trek Livestrong U23 . In 2011 and 2013 he was the US champion in the individual time trial of the U23 class. In 2011 he also won a stage of the Tour de la Guadeloupe . In 2012 he finished second in the road race of the Pan American championships. In 2013 he won the Tour de Beauce and was again national U23 champion in the individual time trial.

In 2014, Brown made his first major tour of the country with the Giro d'Italia . Up to and including 2019, he did six Grand Tours . His best placement was 43rd in the 2017 Tour de France .
