National Alliance
The National Alliance is a right-wing racist organization based in the United States . It was founded by William L. Pierce and was based in Hillsboro . After Pierce's death in 2002, Erich Gliebe took over the organization, which suffered from a severe decline in membership and finally ceased to exist as an organization in 2013. Gliebe tried to continue the former organization as a loose association. In the meantime, however, following a renewal of the association under Will W. Williams, a permanent membership in the organization of the National Alliance is possible again and is also being advertised.
history
The organization was founded in 1967 by former physics professor and author of the Turner Diaries, Dr. William Luther Pierce founded. In the following year the first members were accepted and the first political activities with the distribution of leaflets developed. In 1970 the National Alliance merged with Willis Carto's National Youth Alliance (NYA) . While NYA was disbanded in 1974, the National Alliance was reorganized, which the present organization regards as the actual formation.
Over time, Pierce managed to take control of Attack! to obtain the newspaper of the National Youth Alliance , later the National Alliance . The newspaper, renamed National Vanguard , appeared in the form of a magazine from 1982.
When Pierce died of cancer in 2002, Erich Gliebe took over the chairmanship of the organization, which he still holds today.
In April 2005 there were internal disputes, as a result of which Kevin Alfred Storm , Gliebe's internal rival , left the National Alliance with a handful of sympathizers and founded his own organization called National Vanguard , which was (forcibly) dissolved in March 2007 .
In 2011 stickers were stuck under the heading "Love Your Race" with an address in Hillsboro (West Virginia).
In 2013 Erich Gliebe announced the dissolution of the National Alliance as an organization. It will now continue to exist as a loose association with no permanent membership. This was preceded by an immense decline in membership. At last the NA had only 75 members. There was also a legal dispute over the remaining assets of the organization.
In 2014, Will W. Williams became chairman of the remaining supporters. Under his leadership, the National Alliance appears again as an organization with the possibility of permanent membership.
Political ideas
According to its own statement, the organization advocated an “ Aryan society”, a “responsible government” and an “economic policy based on racial principles”. To this end, she strives for the spatial and political segregation or separation of ethnic groups in the territory of the United States.
In the eyes of its critics, the National Alliance represents neo-Nazi , racist and anti-Semitic positions. Thus, Abraham Lincoln criticized and Bolshevism with Judaism in connection set.
International contacts
In 1999 the neo-Nazi Hendrik Möbus, wanted in Germany, fled to Pierce and was taken in by him.
The organization maintains international contacts to various parties and organizations, including the German NPD , the British BNP and the Greek Patriotic Alliance ( Greek : Πατριωτική Συμμαχία). For the launch of the magazine Resistance Hellas-Antepithesi worked Golden Dawn , together with the National Alliance.
