The Dzūkija National Park (Lithuanian Dzūkijos nacionalinis parkas ) is the largest national park in Lithuania with an area of 58,519 ha . It is located in the south of the country in the Dzūkija region and borders with Belarus . The administration is located in the village of Marcinkonys .
There are numerous other different nature reserves in the park. The best known of these is the total reserve Čepkelių raistas , a coherent moorland landscape , with an area of 11,227 hectares, the largest preserved in Lithuania. This area has been protected under the Ramsar Convention since 1993 . The reserve was established in 1974, but the national park was not established until 1991.
130.04 km² in the national park belong to the wilderness areas certified by the European Wilderness Society .
