The Natixis is the investment bank of the French savings banks ( Caisse d'Epargne ) and cooperative banks ( Banques Populaires ), which as the union of the BPCE form group and is one of the largest banking groups in France. Natixis is active in the areas of corporate and investment banking, asset management, insurance and other financial services and is one of the 20 largest asset managers worldwide with assets under management of 801 billion euros.

history

Natixis was created in November 2006 through the merger of the French investment banks Natexis and Ixis . These were the investment banks of the French savings banks, the Caisses d'Epargne (Ixis), and the cooperative Banques Populaires (Natexis). The German branch is based in Frankfurt.

In Germany, Natixis is primarily known for its expertise in the field of structured products and certificates and their distribution. The products are sold nationwide through banks, savings banks and Volksbanks. NATIXIS Pfandbriefbank has also existed as a German subsidiary since 2012 .

Natixis is currently developing the global standard for sustainable infrastructure SuRe® together with the Swiss Global Infrastructure Basel Foundation (GIB).
