The Hohensyburg natural stage is an open-air theater in the Syburg district of Dortmund . The theater is located in a valley of the Ardey Mountains that slopes down to the Ruhr, below the Hohensyburg .

The stage has been used by an amateur theater company since 1952. The natural stage ensemble stages several productions every year. The auditorium offers space for around 800 spectators. The winter performances take place in the stage house, which can hold around 80 spectators.

The pieces of the Hohensyburg nature stage are particularly popular because of their characteristic charm and the music. The tradition of summer pieces for the whole family goes back to the 1950s.
