The nature reserve Łężczok (German nature reserve Lensczok or Lenczok ) is a 408 hectare nature reserve in the area of the city of Racibórz (Ratibor) and the municipality of Nędza (German Buchenau ) north of Racibórz. It consists of the forest Łężczok (German Lensczok ) and the adjacent pond landscape. The ponds east of the Oder were created by the Cistercians in the 14th and 15th centuries for fishing. They have a size of 218 hectares. On the site of the Łężczok there is a listed hunting lodge, which was built in 1783. As early as 1912, at the instigation of surveyor C. The application was rejected, but the duke announced that he wanted to work towards the preservation of the natural monuments of Lensczok. In 1922 Lensczok was added to the list of natural monuments. The area was finally declared a nature reserve by the Republic of Poland in 1957 under the official name of Łężczak .
