The Navarre River is a river in the west of the Australian state of Tasmania .
geography
River course
The river has its source on the eastern slopes of Mount Rufus , a mountain in the southeast corner of Cradle Mountain Lake St. Clair National Park . From there it flows to the southeast, crosses under the Lyell Highway north of Mount King William I. and flows into Lake King William and thus into the Derwent River .
