The Navya Arma , introduced in October 2015, is an autonomous electric vehicle for local public transport. As an “intelligent” driverless shuttle bus, the vehicle can transport up to 15 people at up to 25 km / h. Since April 2016, six vehicles have been used to transport people on the site of the Civaux nuclear power plant in France; the first experimental use in public transport began in June 2016 with two vehicles in Sion / Switzerland; In September 2016, a further use in local public transport started in Lyon . A test run for public transport in Koppl (Salzburg area) is planned from mid-May 2017. On October 23, 2018, a vehicle arrived on Sylt that is supposed to drive with the Sylter Verkehrsgesellschaft. Since June 6, 2019, two of the driverless buses have been in test operation in Vienna's Seestadt . To this end, five Wiener Linien employees have been trained as operators who are on board for every journey and can intervene in what is happening.

The independent shuttle service introduced by Sylter Verkehrsgesellschaft (SVG) in April 2019 is considered a success. The shuttle, designed by Navya, which operates in Germany on the island of Sylt in Keitum, was quickly accepted by locals and tourists alike. “With 12 trips and 80–100 passengers per day, the bus has already covered more than 3,000 km and carried more than 9,000 passengers.” The Technical University of Hamburg (TUHH) is leading the “TABULA” project, a test center for autonomous buses in the district Duchy and the community of Lauenburg / Elbe. In this small town with half-timbered houses, the shuttle explores 2 routes of almost 1 km in length in the upper town, which has been open since October 2019. In connection with the V2X traffic lights, the shuttle fits into the bus network. The service operates from Tuesday to Saturday. A complex extension of the route is planned for the end of February 2020 to enable a passage through the old town with a length of almost 2.5 km including slopes and cobblestones in the narrow streets of the lower town. "As soon as we have the approval for route 3, we can finally offer Lauenburg a real additional offer in public transport."
