Nazi Maruttaš

Nazi Maruttaš , son of Kurigalzu II , was from 1307 to 1282 BC. A king of Babylonia from the Kassite (Kaššu) dynasty.

He took parts of Namri on the Diyala , but suffered a severe defeat against Assur in Kar-Ishtar from Akarsallu . The Babylonian camp was captured by the Assyrians and priests captured. A contract between Adad-narāri and Nazi-Maruttaš documents the new demarcation that ran from Pilasqi on the eastern bank of the Tigris through Arman of Akarsallu to the mountains of Lulume . Adad-narāri assumed the title of Rab kiššati (king of all).
