Neždet Mustafa

Neždet Mustafa ( Macedonian Неждет Мустафа ; born May 17, 1962 in Skopje ) is a Macedonian politician.

He first studied philosophy at the University of Skopje . In 1992 he participated in the founding of the Romani television program Bijandipe on Macedonian television. From 1994 to 1996 he lived in Cologne , after which he began further studies in social work and political science at the University of Skopje.

Around 2000 he was mayor of Šuto Orizari (one of the 10 districts of Skopje , which are also independent municipalities ). He is chairman of the Obedineta partija za emancipacija na Romanite (United Party for the Emancipation of the Roma - a party that was formed in 2002 through the merger of the Partija za Celosna Emancipacjia na Romite with the Democratskata progresivna partija na Romite ). From 2006 to 2008 he was a member of the Macedonian parliament (he was a candidate on the list of Socijaldemokratski Sojuz na Makedonija ). From July 26, 2008 to spring 2017, he was a government minister without portfolio .
