Nedijeljko Zelić (born July 4, 1971 in Sydney ) is a former Australian football player .
Career as a club player
Zelić has Croatian ancestry and has both Croatian and Australian citizenship. As a teenager he played for Sydney Olympic , Croatia Sydney and the Australian Institute of Sport . At the beginning of the 1992/93 season he moved to Borussia Dortmund . After three years he went to England to join the Queens Park Rangers . After a year he moved back to Germany to Frankfurter Eintracht , where he stayed for only one year. After a year and a half at AJ Auxerre , he moved to TSV 1860 Munich . He was active for the TSV 1860 for four years. Kyōto Sanga and Urawa Red Diamonds in Japan and Wacker Tirol in Austria were his next stops. He also only played for a short time at these clubs. After a season in Australia with the Newcastle United Jets , he came back to Europe; this time to the Dutch club Helmond Sport . After half a year he moved to Dinamo Tbilisi , where he let his career end.
The defensive player appeared in the Bundesliga 160 times and scored five goals. In Austria's first division , he was on the field 22 times.
