Nehe Rihara Milner-Skudder (born December 15, 1990 in Taihape ) is a New Zealand rugby union player. Milner-Skudder, who is particularly active as a goalkeeper in the club , became rugby union world champion in 2015 as a winger with the All Blacks . In the same year, Milner-Skudder was named “Newcomer of the Year” by the World Rugby Union Federation .

Career

Milner-Skudder started his professional career in rugby league before for the 2011 Manawatu Turbos in the ITM Cup got in. Nehe Milner-Skudder has been part of the Hurricanes' squad since the 2015 super rugby season .

In 2014, Milner-Skudder was invited to the New Zealand Māori year-end tour of Japan, before his first appearance for the New Zealand national rugby union team - the All Blacks - in 2015 . In his first international match against Australia , which took place in Sydney on August 8, 2015 , he was able to make two attempts . In the following two months, Milner-Skudder was part of the squad for the Rugby Union World Cup 2015 , in which he made six attempts - including one in the final against the Australian Wallabies - and together with the All Blacks the 2011 World Cup could defend.

Nehe Milner-Skudder has both Morian and Tongan roots and is a nephew of George Skudder, who was also used as a winger for the All Blacks between 1969 and 1973. The late Henare "Buff" Milner, who in 1970 played several times for the national team as an inner three-quarters, was a cousin of Milner-Skudder's mother. Skudder and Milner have never played a joint international match.
