Neide Marina Fidalgo Alves Mateus Simões (born July 19, 1988 in Viseu ) is a Portuguese soccer player .

Career

Simões started her football career in her hometown at Associação Académica Viseu . In 2001 she left the club and moved to the C-youth of Escola Futebol Clube Molelinhos . At the age of 15, she made her senior debut for Escola in 2002/2003. After ten years in Portugal's highest women's soccer league , she left her club from the Tondela district and moved to the German Bundesliga club SC 07 Bad Neuenahr . For the first team she has not been used so far; for the second team she played three games in the 2nd Bundesliga South . She made her debut on September 22, 2012 (3rd matchday) in a goalless draw in the home game against 1. FC Saarbrücken . After the bankruptcy of SC 07 Bad Neuenahr, she was without a club for two months. On August 12th, she signed a 1 year contract with 1. FC Köln . In June 2014, she was adopted by 1. FC Köln and returned to Portugal .

National team

In September 2005 she was appointed to the U-19 national team for the first time and made her debut on September 27, 2005 in a 3-2 victory over the Slovak U-19 national team. For the U-19 national football team of Portugal, she completed 17 international matches before making her debut in the senior national team in 2007 . With the senior national team, she took part in the Algarve Cup from March 6th to 13th, 2013 , playing in the first (2-0 against Wales; on March 6th) and third group game (3-0 against Mexico; on March 11th ) and finished in 11th place with her after Wales' selection was defeated 3-1 on penalties.
