Neil Dudgeon

Neil Dudgeon (born January 2, 1961 in Doncaster , Yorkshire ) is a British actor , known from Inspector Barnaby and other crime series.

Life

Dudgeon was born in Doncaster on January 2, 1961 and attended Danum Academy . He first came into contact with acting in school performances. From 1979 to 1982 he studied acting at the University of Bristol . He first appeared in front of the camera in 1987, and the following year he played a World War II pilot in the television series Piece of Cake . From 1989 he had a few smaller appearances in series such as B. London's Burning, Casualty and Lovejoy . In 1994 Dudgeon could be seen in A Touch of Frost as Detective Constable Costello at the side of David Jason .

From 1998 to 1999, Neil Dudgeon appeared in the British drama series The Mrs Bradley Mysteries as George the Chauffeur. He also played in the films and series Between the Lines , Out of the Blue , Sherlock Holmes - The Silk Stocking Murderer , and in Messiah the DI Duncan Warren.

In 2007 he played the millionaire Roman Pretty on the comedy show Roman's Empire and in 2009 he took on the lead role in Life of Riley .

In 2010, Neil Dudgeon was introduced as Tom Barnaby's cousin John Barnaby in the 13th season of the British crime series Inspector Barnaby's episode The Sword of Guillaume . There he has been investigating since the 14th season as the successor to Inspector Tom Barnaby ( John Nettles ).

Neil Dudgeon is married to BBC radio producer Mary Peate and has two children.
