Neil Wyn Roberts (born April 7, 1978 in Wrexham ) is a former Welsh football player who last played for Rhyl FC from the League of Wales .
Career
society
Neil Roberts began his career in 1994 at Wrexham FC , where he played 75 games in six years, in which he scored 17 times. In February 2000, he spent 500,000 pounds sterling to Wigan Athletic . There he got a regular place straight away, but was awarded to Hull City in 2002 and Bradford City in 2004. After 126 games and 19 goals for Wigan, he moved to Doncaster Rovers in October 2004 . In July 2006 he returned to Wrexham FC and got the captain's armband. In the first two games he scored twice, once on August 20 against Chester City and three days later in the League Cup against Sheffield Wednesday . On September 9, he was injured in a 2-1 win over Swindon Town . Less than a month later he made his comeback against Milton Keynes Dons and scored the 1-0 opening goal in a 2-1 win. In May 2008 he left the club because Wrexham was relegated to the Football Conference .
On June 24, 2008 he moved to his home in Wales for Rhyl FC . There he played in the starting line-up from the start and played 33 games, scored 20 goals and finished fourth on the top scorer list. In 2009 he took over a position as head of the English top club Manchester City .
National team
1999 Roberts came to his first international appearance for the Welsh national football team . However, he was only a prospective player in the national team and completed his last international match for Wales on May 27, 2004. Roberts came to four international appearances for his home country.
