Dvornik learned to ski when he was three years old and started racing when he was six. At the age of 16, she started in FIS races and junior races from August 2017 . In December 2017 she competed in the Far East Cup and was on the podium four times (including once as the winner). She made her World Cup debut on December 27, 2017 in the giant slalom in Lienz , where she finished 51st. The first appearances in the European Cup followed in January 2018, and two months later she finished in the points for the first time. At the end of the 2017/18 season, she was two Slovenian junior champions and two Slovenian champions (each in super-G and in combination).
In the winter of 2018 in the southern hemisphere, Dvornik achieved three podiums in the Australia New Zealand Cup , including a win, which meant she won the slalom discipline. Back in Europe, she established herself during the 2018/19 season with five top 10 results in the European Cup. At the 2019 Junior World Championships in Val di Fassa , she just missed a medal with fourth places in giant slalom and slalom. At the end of the season, two more Slovenian championship titles were added in the same disciplines. Regular placements in the European Cup were the result of the 2019/20 season. At the 2020 Junior World Championship in Narvik , in the last race before the cancellation due to the COVID-19 pandemic , she won the silver medal in the giant slalom.
