Necropolis in the Jardin Georges Delaselle

The necropolis in the Jardin Georges Delaselle ( French Nécropole du Jardin Georges Delaselle ) is located at the eastern end of the Île-de-Batz , in front of the port of Roscoff in the Finistère department in Brittany in France . The garden was laid out in 1897 by the Parisian insurance agent and lover of exotic plants, Georges Delaselle (1861–1944).

In the necropolis from the Bronze Age in the Jardin Georges Delaselle is a group of eleven here staggered stone boxes , two of which made drywall were built, and by a stone cross Christianized megalithic monument . Discovered during the earthworks, the dolmen was excavated in the early 20th century. It was renovated by Delaselle and placed in the southern part of the botanical garden. The cross may have been added by Delaselle.
