Nelly Alard
Nelly Alard (* 1960 in France ) is a French actress who has acted in film, theater and television. She is also a screenwriter and book writer as well as a journalist.
Life
Alard graduated from the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique drama school in Paris in 1985 . Before and in the following years she was an actress in films and TV plays as well as at the theater, where she worked under the direction of Andrei Serban , Jacues Lasalle and Jean-Pierre Miquel , among others .
From 1990 to 1992 Alard was in the USA and shot two films there with the American director Henry Jaglom . After writing the screenplay for the film Thank You Satan with Patrick Chesnais and Carole Laure in the leading roles in 1989 , she wrote two scripts for the erotic TV series Red Shoe Diaries , in 1994 for the episode The Psychiatrist and for Four on the Floor of 1996. The series promoted the career of David Duchovny .
After Alard's return from the USA in 1994, she studied for a year at the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de Paris , where she graduated with a master's degree in multimedia . The following year, in coproduction with the weekly newspaper Télérama , she produced a CD-Rom on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Cannes International Film Festival . From 1998 to 2006 she worked for Télérama, most recently as director from 2004. There she was responsible for the development of the newspaper's website .
Alard has worked as an actress in films, theater and television, among all other activities, since the 1980s, and wrote two award-winning novels. Furthermore, a documentary film On the Tracks of a Filmmaker and a play La Comtesse de Hohenembs were made in the USA .
