Carole Laure
Carole Laure OC (born August 5, 1948 in Shawinigan , Québec ) is a Canadian actress , singer , screenwriter , film director and film producer .
Life
The trained teacher began her career as a film actress in 1968, when she established contacts with French-Canadian film circles in Québec and was used in short films. She became internationally known in 1977 as Solange in the Oscar- winning production Frau zu schaden at the side of Gérard Depardieu and Patrick Dewaere . In the same year she played the leading female role in Wages of the Giants alongside Yves Montand .
Occasionally she took part in Hollywood films, but the main focus of her acting activity remained on French-language films and Canadian theater. She was also successful as a singer. Most recently she worked as a screenwriter, film director and film producer.
