Nelson, Lancashire is a small town in Lancashire in north-west England . It is the administrative center of the Pendle district and has 29,000 inhabitants. Nelson is about 45 km north of Manchester .

The city was created from a merger of the villages of Little Marsden and Great Marsden .

The football club FC Nelson is based in Nelson and plays in Victoria Park .
