Nelson dos Santos
Nelson dos Santos ( Nelson Rocha dos Santos; born May 8, 1952 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a former Brazilian sprinter .
At the South American Athletics Championships in 1975 in Rio de Janeiro, he won silver over 100 m .
In 1979 he won bronze in the 4-by-100-meter relay at the Pan American Games in San Juan and was fourth in the 100 m. At the Athletics World Cup in Montreal , he won the 4 x 100 meter relay with the American team.
At the Olympic Games in Moscow in 1980 he was eighth in the 4 x 100 meter relay and reached the quarter-finals over 100 m .
In 1983 he won bronze in the 4 x 100 meter relay at the Pan American Games in Caracas and was sixth in the 100 m. At the Ibero-American Championships he won silver over 100 m, and at the South American Championships in Santa Fe he won the 100 m and won silver over 200 m.
At the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles he was eighth in the 4 x 100 meter relay and was eliminated over 100 m in the quarterfinals.
