Sean Nana AK Safo-Antwi (born January 31, 1990 in London ) is a Ghanaian sprinter who competed for the United Kingdom until 2015 .

Athletic career

Sean Safo-Antwi gained his first international experience in 2015 at the European Indoor Championships in Prague , where he was eliminated in the semifinals in the 60-meter run with 6.63 s. He then took part with the British 4 x 100 meter relay in the World Relays in the Bahamas and was eliminated there with 38.79 s in the lead. The following year he took part in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro for Ghana , but was eliminated there with 10.43 s in the first round . In 2018 he reached the finals at the World Indoor Championships in Birmingham , where he finished seventh over 60 meters in 6.60 s. Shortly afterwards he retired from the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast in the 100-meter run with 10.95 s in the lead. In the following year he took part in the African Games in Ghana for the first time , where he finished fifth over 100 meters in 10.18 seconds and won the Ghanaian 4 x 100 meter relay with a new player record of 38.30 seconds. He then retired at the World Championships in Doha with the relay with 38.24 s in the preliminary round .
