Nenad Josipović

Nenad Josipović (born April 18, 1963 ) is a Croatian basketball coach . Most recently he was the head coach of the Dresden Titans .

career

Josipović is from Split , where he played for KK Split. After the end of his playing career, he worked as an assistant coach at various clubs before moving to Germany at the end of the 1990s, where he worked  as a youth coach at Oldenburg TB and as an assistant coach in the Bundesliga. When Lower Saxony (now renamed EWE Baskets Oldenburg ) parted ways with their head coach Anthony Taylor in March 2002 , he took over this position until the end of the 2001/02 season and then returned to the Oldenburg junior division.

In February 2005 Josipović moved as head coach to the second division Bremen Roosters and led the team, which had previously lost 16 games in a row, to relegation and was then named second division coach of the year by eurobasket.com . He stayed at this post until the end of the 2006/07 game year. In the 2007/08 season he coached BG Karlsruhe in what is now called the ProA second division, and in 2008/09 he was back at the Bremen club as the responsible coach on the sidelines.

From the beginning of the 2009/10 season to December 2011 Josipović was the head coach of the Saar-Palatinate Braves in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA. Then he worked in the youth work of the BG Karlsruhe.

In January 2014 he took over the coaching position for the second men's team of the Bürgerfelder TB in the major league. In the 2014/15 season he was an assistant coach on the staff of the BG Karlsruhe and in the 2015/16 season he became the BG's head coach for the second time after 2007/08. The separation took place in October 2016.

At the beginning of June 2017 Josipović was hired as a coach by ProA relegated Dresden Titans . In the 2017/18 season he led the Saxons into the ProB championship round, where they lost to Schalke 04 in the first round, and at the end of November 2018 he was dismissed as a Dresden coach following a 56:75 defeat in Wolfenbüttel.
