In Egyptian mythology, the sky and mother goddess Nenet embodies the morning sky, which was newly born in the twelfth hour of the night shortly before sunrise . In the Amduat , Nenet appears as the third of four deities also during the twelfth hour of the night.

They were portrayed in human or animal form, in the New Kingdom either as a mummy with a falcon's head or as a goddess with a sign of trepidation and a what scepter .
meaning
Since the Pyramid Texts, Nenet has been associated with the king's ascension to heaven . In the New Kingdom the deceased descends to her. During the Greco-Roman period , Nenet acted as the mother of the sun god . She unites the bones of the deceased in her name in preparation for the birth of the sun god. Nenet is the sky from which the solar disk rises.
