Nenjiang

Nenjiang ( Chinese  嫩江 县 , Pinyin Nènjiāng Xiàn ) is a district of the prefecture-level city of Heihe in the northeast Chinese province of Heilongjiang . Nenjiang has a total area of ​​15,360 km² and about 500,000 inhabitants. The district, which is also known by the historical Daurian name Mergen ( Chinese  墨尔 根 , Pinyin Mò'ěrgēn ), is located on the eastern bank of the Nen Jiang , which here borders the autonomous banner Morin Dawa der Daur and the Oroqen autonomous banner , both in Inner Mongolia . To the north, Nenjiang in the Yilehuli Mountains borders on Huma County in the Great Hinggan Mountains Administrative Region, and to the east in the Small Hinggan Mountains on the Aihui District .

Administrative structure

At the community level, Nenjiang consists of eight large communities and six parishes . These are:

Greater community Nenjiang (嫩江镇), capital and seat of county government;

There are also ten state farms, a section of the Agricultural Production Corps 93 (九三 垦区 分局 局 直), a state breeding company for seed potatoes and a state copper mine.
