The Nenlin railway ( abbreviation :嫩林铁路; traditional Chinese :嫩林鐵路; pinyin : nènlín Tielu) of Nenjiang the Great Hinggan Mountains , is a single-track, standard gauge railway in northeastern China between the city Nenjiang and the forestry space Gulian , in the Mohe district . It is also known as the Nenjiang Mohe Railway or Nenmo Railway (嫩 漠 铁路). Larger cities along the route are Nenjiang, Jiagedaqi (capital of the district) and Mohe (seat of the northernmost district of China).

Both terminal stations are in Heilongjiang Province. In between, the train crosses the Great Hinggan Mountains in Inner Mongolia Inner Mongolia . Much of the route runs through the Great Hinggan Forest District. The route has a length of 667 km. A total of 156 soldiers lost their lives during the construction. They were buried in honorary cemeteries along the way.
In the south, the railway line begins in Nenjiang on the east bank of the Nen Jiang . After crossing the river, the route leads to Hulun Buir and from there to the north, where it gradually climbs the Great Hinggan Mountains. It follows the Gan He to Jiagedaqi. There the train turns north and leads back to Heilongjiang Province near Tayuan. It leads from Tahe to Mohe and then ends in Gulian, a town west of Mohe.
In Nenjiang there is a transition to the Fuyu – Nenjiang (Funen) and Nenjiang – Heishanbao railway lines . Nowadays the Nenlin and Funen railway lines are often referred to together as the Fuyu West Railway and Fuxi Railway (富 西 铁路).
history
The railway line was built in four sections from 1964 to 1972 by the Pioneer Corps of the People's Liberation Army . Construction began in 1964. The Jiagedaqi – Tahe section was opened in 1966, and the Jiagedaqi – Nenjiang section was opened in 1967. The Tahe – Zhangling section followed in 1968 and the northernmost section Tahe – Gulian was opened in 1972.
