Neoterophilia

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Neoterophilie ( Greek νεότερος ( neoteros ), "the Younger") is an exclusive or predominant sexual preference for (much) younger love partners - male or female, heterosexual or homosexual . It represents a special case of chronophilia . There is a largely clear demarcation from pedophilia through the sexual maturity of the younger partner - therefore neoterophilic sexual acts are not necessarily punishable.

If sexual interest is directed towards pubescent girls, one speaks of parthenophilia or also of the lolita complex , while interest directed towards pubescent and post-pubertal boys is called ephebophilia . The cross-gender generic term for this is Hebephilia .

Legal situation in Germany

If it is a sexual relationship between a person over 14 and a person under 14, neoterophilic sexual acts are generally punishable as child abuse in Germany . If the younger person is 14 or 15, the other is already 21 or older, they can be punishable if the younger person's demonstrably inadequate ability for sexual self-determination is deliberately exploited (see sexual abuse of young people ). A criminal liability can also exist if it is prostitution or exploitation of the distress of a person under the age of 18. If none of these special cases exist, consensually practiced neoterophilia is lawful in Germany, since sexual maturity occurs at the age of 14.
