The Nepal Peak ( peak English for "summit") is a mountain peak in the Himalayas on the border between Nepal and Sikkim ( India ).
The 7177 m high Nepal Peak is located 8.91 km north of the eight-thousander Kangchenjunga . It is a secondary peak of the 1.61 km northeast of Kirat Chuli ( Tent Peak ). In between there is a saddle about 7000 m high. To the south the ridge drops to the 6194 m high mountain pass Nepal Gap and then climbs up again to the 7,350 m high Gimmigela Chuli ( The Twins ).
The Nepal Peak was first climbed single-handedly by the Austrian Erwin Schneider on May 24, 1930 as part of a German-Austrian expedition .
