Nesebur Gap (also known as Nesebar Gap and Nessebar Gap , Bulgarian седловина Несебър sedlowina Nessebar ) is a 550 m high and 1.3 km wide saddle on the Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It lies between the Plíska Ridge in the west and the northern slope of Mount Friesland in the east. It forms part of the watershed between the Perunika Glacier in the north and the Huntress Glacier in the south.
Bulgarian scientists named it in 1996 after the Bulgarian city of Nessebar . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee transferred the Bulgarian name to English in 1997.
