Nesin Howhannesijan

Nesin Howhannesijan (born July 25, 1976 in West Berlin , Germany) is a German double bass player and composer with Armenian roots.

Live and act

Howhannesijan received classical violin lessons in early childhood. He later switched to the double bass and studied from 2000 to 2003 at Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA, where he graduated with a degree in jazz performance. He took u. a. Lessons from Dave Santoro, Dave Clark, Bruce Gertz , Whit Browne and Jesper Lundgaard . During his studies in Boston he was also a member of the orchestra of the Boston Conservatory .

Nesin released four CDs as the band leader of his own trio on various labels, such as Konnex Records and the Japanese label "Atelier Sawano", and made recordings as a sideman with different line-ups and musical styles. He also played in various ensembles of classical music (opera, operetta, chamber music or symphonic works).

Nesin played with Charlie Mariano , Herb Geller , Nils Landgren , Leszek Możdżer , Rolf Kühn , Dusko Goykovich , Hiromi Uehara , Gevorg Dabaghyan and Vardan Ovsepian .
