Neu-Mehring

Neu-Mehring is a district of Mehring (Mosel) in the Trier-Saarburg district in Rhineland-Palatinate .

It lies at about 487  m above sea level. NHN on the Weinstrasse ( Kreisstrasse 85 ) near Naurath (Wald) , Bescheid and Lorscheid not far from the Menhir von Bescheid .

The place was settled in 1840 after a large fire in Mehring destroyed numerous houses. Due to the adverse circumstances of the way of life, the residents decided to emigrate to North America in 1852 .

Today the Keltik Stone Ranch is located in Neu-Mehring .
