history

Neu Mahlisch is a foundation of the Frederician Land development and was created around 1775 through the settlement of 30 families. The name is derived from the nearby Alt Mahlisch , now part of Fichtenhöhe .

Before the Red Army marched in, the local population was completely evacuated in early 1945. Most of the buildings were destroyed during the battle for the Seelower Heights .

In the post-war period, the town's infrastructure was consistently expanded: in 1952 Neu Mahlisch received street lighting, in 1953 a drinking water system, and since 1971 there has been a bus connection to Seelow.
