New Dresden Secession 1931

The New Dresden Secession 1931 was formed in the spring of 1931 from several members of the action and other artists. Her objectives included "to perform high quality artistic work" and "to unite the best artistic forces in Dresden [...]".

The New Dresden Secession in 1931 wanted to actively participate in the art committees of the city of Dresden. Lord Mayor Wilhelm Külz had a corresponding request answered negatively, because the "art experts [...] were chosen personally and without regard to belonging to an artist group".

Several members of the New Dresden Secession 1931 joined the Dresden Secession 1932 .
