Peter Marino

Peter Marino (* 1949 ) is an American architect , interior designer and art collector .

Life

Marino studied architecture at Cornell University . He completed his studies in 1971. His career began in 1970 when he renovated Andy Warhol's townhouse on the Upper East Side in Manhattan , New York City. This was followed by orders for well-known luxury labels, such as Chanel , Christian Dior , Fendi and Louis Vuitton , who let him design and furnish their shops . Marino is married to costume designer Jane Trapnell, with whom he has a daughter. He designed his architecture office in Manhattan with his private collection, including works by his mentor Andy Warhol, Anselm Kiefer , Cy Twombly , Richard Deacon and Richard Prince .
