The New Cemetery in Bad Honnef , a town in the Rhein-Sieg district in North Rhine-Westphalia , was laid out in 1907. It is located in the south of the city on Linzer Straße ( Landesstraße 547), is bounded in the north by Krachsnußbaumweg and extends east to the houses on Dellenweg on the western edge of the Selhof district .

In 1907, the burial site supplemented the old cemetery, which was also located on Linzer Strasse . At the time it was rebuilt, it was even further outside the city than it was before in the middle of undeveloped land. For 16 or 22 victims of the First World War , a cemetery of honor was created in the New Cemetery, which was equipped with a memorial designed and executed by the sculptor Karl Menser . In addition, 62 dead from World War II rest on the war cemetery . The honorary section of the cemetery is one of four places in Bad Honnef where the mayor and city council commemorate the day of national mourning every year . The cemetery is also open to the burial of the deceased whose main residence is in Rheinbreitbach .
