Neuhausen , 13 km west of Bamberg in the Aurachgrund in the Steigerwald , is the smaller district of the Priesendorf community . The village is located on the right bank of the Aurach opposite the church village of Priesendorf. The Franconian Marienweg runs through Neuhausen .

history

Neuhausen was founded in the 10th or 11th century. It was first mentioned on August 11, 1182 as “Nuwenhusen”, which means about the new houses. The village was founded in all probability from the aristocratic seat in Lisberg .

Around 1800 the von Münster zu Lisberg in Neuhausen owned two half farms, one estate, three Sölden estates, three Hablsölden estates, three Sölden estates, six drip houses , an inn with an associated brewery and the Weißmühle. By decision of the government of Upper Franconia , Neuhausen was incorporated into the municipality of Priesendorf on January 1, 1972.

Club life

Club life in Neuhausen is mainly maintained by the volunteer fire brigade founded in 1876 and the Black Jack regulars' table founded in 1986. a. also through events in the village inn. The shooting club Diana Neuhausen is active in shooting sports. An FC Bayern fan club has existed since 2010.

Events

Local festivals are the country music open air of the Black Jack regulars' table, the St. John's fire on June 24th, and the Franconian street festival of the fire brigade as well as the St. John's fire and king's proclamation by the shooting club. The annual nativity scene opening takes place on the first Advent on the village square, the Annakapelle's parish fair is on the weekend of Anna's day on July 26th, and the general tavern church fair on the third weekend in October.
