history

A Heinricus de Niunhoven appears as a seal witness as early as 1130. The nobles of Neuhofen can be traced from the 12th to the 14th century. The Hofmark Neuhofen was later owned by the Aldersbach Monastery .

Neuhofen belonged to the postmünster chairmanship and appears from 1532 as its own chairman in the parish churches of the Reichenberg -Pfarrkirchen district court . From this chairmanship and parts of the Hafenbach chairmanship, the Neuhofen tax district was formed in 1809 . From this, the district court municipality of Neuhofen emerged in 1818, which comprised 42 districts. It was part of the district office or district of Pfarrkirchen and was incorporated into the new larger community of Postmünster on April 1, 1971 as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .

Neuhofen was originally a church branch of the parish of Schönau . It later became a vicariate before the Neuhofen parish was established in 1806.
